Travel is Less than Epic

Last minute packing. We left early in the morning, picked up my Aunt Sonny, and got to Chicago in 5 or so hours. Some how I imagined that leaving would involve many moving goodbyes and a farewell party and confetti and feasting and a big gathering of family and friends. I made my dream come true, after all! But in reality it was rushed and abrupt. Most of my friends were out of state and my family was busy cleaning up at the end of the Great Darke County Fair.

I slept most of the way to Chicago, but I woke up to see massive, white wind turbines against a crisp blue sky. There were thousands, sprawling in an inspiring way. It was amazing and full of hope for positive changes in the world. It was all the fanfare I needed.
